Christ BushChris has been playing saxophone for over 20 years. Growing up in Northern California, Chris discovered John Coltrane and Miles Davis in high school which inspired him to choose music as a profession. Chris moved to Boston after high school and earned a degree from the Berklee College of Music while also forming the punk-ska band Big D & The Kids Table. “Big D” toured extensively for 10 years before Chris decided to head out West to see what was happening closer to home. After stops in Denver and San Francisco, he has been on Kauai now for 3 years. Chris recently joined Greenstone Project and credits them for making him a better musician, and they credit him for being cool in the face of pressure.  A win/win.

The Professor

Photo Jul 24Chris speaks in a language that only Kat understands.  A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Chris owns the horns.  The main cat in the “Hurricane Horns”, he is responsible for writing and creating all the horn lines written into the music parts of the bands arrangements.  A music genius mixed with a dry sense of humor, Chris has been a welcome addition to Greenstone Project.
